Consistently reliable CE courses

This is my third time using Mi Contractor Training for my continuing education. I usually grab the 3-Hour course each cycle. The platform is always the same, easy to navigate, and the material is current. My certificate came fast like it always does. It's just dependable, which is why I keep coming back instead of trying other places.

Found a good deal on pre-license

I was looking for the best price on the 60-Hour Pre-License Course and found a good discount here. The overall cost was definitely less than some other providers I checked out. The course itself covered everything I needed and felt like good value for what I paid. Happy with the savings and the training.

Good value, minor glitch

I purchased the 21-Hour Continuing Education Course. The content was solid and definitely state-approved, which was my main concern. The price felt fair for the amount of material. I did have one small issue where a video wouldn't load right away, but refreshing the page fixed it. Delivery of the certificate was quick after completion.

Fantastic pre-license course!

I just finished the 60-Hour Pre-License Course and it was awesome! Everything was laid out so clearly and I felt really prepared for the exam. I learned a ton and it was super convenient to do it all online. I'll definitely be back for my CE hours when the time comes!

Detailed review of 60-Hour Pre-License

I enrolled in the 60-Hour Pre-License Course earlier this year. The ordering process was simple on their website, and I got immediate access to the course materials. Content-wise, it was comprehensive, covering Michigan building codes, contractor law, and business management. I particularly liked the module on Contracts and Risk Management; it was very practical. The platform was stable, and I could pause and resume lessons easily. I completed it over about 6 weeks, fitting it around my work schedule. After passing the final exam, I received my certificate of completion via email within an hour, which was great for my state application. I didn't need customer support, so I can't speak to that, but the course itself prepared me well for the state exam.

Easy to use, good course

I took the 3-Hour Continuing Education Course last month. It was pretty straightforward and I could do it on my own time which was nice. Didn't have any tech issues or anything. Just needed to get my hours in for renewal and this worked out great.

Anyone compared Mi Contractor Training with Builders License Training Institute? Wondering which one is better for the pre-license.

B Ben 1 week ago
I went with Mi Contractor Training because a buddy recommended them and they were a bit cheaper when I signed up. The content was good, easy to follow.

I've heard good things about both, but Mi Contractor Training seemed to have a better online platform when I checked them out. Plus, they were running a discount at the time that sealed the deal for me.

Has anyone used one of their discount codes? I see they mention them but not sure if it's just for certain courses or if you can find one for the 60-hour pre-license thing.

L Leah 5 days ago
I got like 20 bucks off my 60-hour course with a code I found last month. It seems like the pre-license courses are the best bet for discounts.

Yeah, usually you can find codes for the full pre-license bundles. I don't think individual CE hours get much of a discount though. Just pop it in at checkout.

How long do you actually have to finish the courses once you buy them? I work full-time so my study time is pretty limited.

O Olivia Harris 2 days ago
I think you get 6 months or something like that for the bigger courses. It's definitely enough time if you chip away at it.

They give you a good amount of time, I wanna say 180 days for the online stuff. Plenty of flexibility to do it at your own pace.

Are the physical books included in the price for like the 60-hour course or do you have to buy those separately? Just trying to figure out the total cost.

R Robert 1 month ago
Nah, the code books are usually extra. You gotta buy those separately, but they do offer them on the site.

K Kyle Taylor 1 month ago
I had to buy the Michigan residential code book separately when I took my course. The course itself doesn't come with the physical books, just the online material.

Hey everyone, thinking about doing the 60-hour pre-license course here. Is it actually legit for getting your license in Michigan? Don't want to waste my time and money on something that won't count.

E Eric Rivera 2 days ago
Yeah, totally legit. I used them for my pre-license a couple years ago. The state definitely accepted their certificate. No issues there.

S Sandra 1 day ago
They're state approved, it says so right on their site. My boss told me to use them for my CE hours too cause they report directly to the state. So it's all good.
